Part 1: Learn About Your Self-Critic
Hello, and welcome to the Self-Critic Buster program. This is an interactive process. In order for you to acquire the tools to break your self-critic's hold on you, I will frequently ask you to respond to me by writing your reaction to some prompts. This form of creative dialogue is the best way to internalize, learn and undergo a change. This is how the psycho-creative system helps you get closer to the change you wish for -- by activating some emotional-creative parts in your brain.
Look in the mirror and smile! Most people find this simple request odd. Look in the mirror and gain awareness of the relationship you have with yourself. Look in the mirror, smile for a period of one minute, and examine your feelings. If you are not trained in self-love (yes, this is something you must continuously work on) some uncomfortable feelings will arise.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself, "Can I love this individual?" Activate your smiling muscles whenever you face a mirror. All around the world, people are looking for love. What do you say to switching from looking for love to finding or even better, "generating" love? Take it from the expert – you don't need to travel far. You can start with many smiles in the mirror.
